CALYPSO
THE CLOWN GIRL
Calypso is a character I improvised. At the time I was making her I was looking at a lot of old Sonic and Knights: Into Dreams fanart from deviantart from the 2010s which influenced her look a lot. I definately wanted to go for the classic edgy Shadow the Hedgehog, black and red look.

Calypso ended up being a deranged and cute character! In the future I would love for her to have a big hammer to throw around, or maybe a huge gun?

Expressions and Lip Sync Shapes

I brought her into VRChat! I used an asset called "Dynamic Bones" to make her head tendrils wiggly, it brings a lot of life to the character. You can see the expressions being tested in the video to the right.

Everything I make seems to end up being a multimedia project of sorts. I make a character then use it for whatever I want.

In the poster to the left I made up a basic lore for what I think would be happening in a game about Calypso.

I even created the typeface for it! (Where it says CLOWNGIRL at the top)

I dreamed up a fake PS1 game for Calypso aswell, and made a little music for it. (In the video to the left) This was such a fun graphic design exercise for the cover.

In the video to the right I'm showing off the shader I made in Unity's Shader Graph! I was going for a glittery holographic/iridescent look. Very Lisa Frank.
